Government Relations The National Beer Wholesalers Association promoted Mike Johnson to executive vice president of federal affairs and chief advocacy officer and Paul Pisano to senior vice president of industry affairs. Johnson and Pisano both joined the association in 2006. Johnson previously worked within the association, lobbying for the STOP Underage Drinking Act and other industry-specific congressional resolutions. Before the NBWA, Pisano was the director of congressional affairs for the U.S. Commerce Department’s Census Bureau.
